I would say the most robust evidence that we have so far are a few papers that use these large consumer transaction data sets to examine some of the financial harms of legalization. So they're able to track people's spending on these gambling apps before and after legalization in states that legalized and in states that did not, and also tie those people to all kinds of other financial distress outcomes like credit scores, credit card debt. loan delinquencies, mortgage foreclosures, things like this.
