Il Jazid Groove è figlio di un programma radiofonico (Gente Distratta – Radio Antenna Iblea Broadcasting – 1995) intriso di roots dell’acid jazz, ha assunto, a partire dal 1997, la dimensione live in cui a parlare è la storia dell’acid jazz partendo dalle origini del genere fino a lambire quei suoni che venivano anche chiamati “House Music”. L'anima del progetto resta quindi l'acid jazz ma c'è sempre spazio per jazz, funk e soul. Il tutto è espresso attraverso vinili storici originali impregnati di odore di gente, di notte e logorati dall’usura e dal fumo. Dal 2015 il Jazid Groove ritorna in radio con un mixato non speakerato e senza pubblicità e diventa ascoltabile anche in podcast.
