Cozy Armenian art, AI theft, and grandmothers | Maretta Aivazian
Welcome to the SECOND SEASON of Jazve Talks, the podcast where we spill the coffee, not the tea.
Our next guest, Maretta Aivazian (https://www.instagram.com/artist_mara_aivazian/ (https://www.instagram.com/artist_mara_aivazian/)), is a graphic designer and illustrator known for her cozy and whimsical drawings of Armenian culture, and elderly people.
(You may have noticed our new logo and brand identity – that's her creation, too!)
But unfortunately, in the age of AI, no artist in the world is safe from generative slop and theft.
One of Maretta's illustrations made in honor of her family was stolen and fed into AI. We spoke with her about this, childhood nostalgia, and our grandmothers.
