Entre septiembre de 1959 y junio de 1965, Paul Desmond comenzó una colaboración con Jim Hall que duraría hasta junio de 1965. La caja 'Paul Desmond Jim Hall Quartet Complete Recordings' recoge todas las grabaciones que hicieron el saxofonista alto y el guitarrista. Escuchamos al cuarteto en 'Poor butterfly', 'Alone together', 'Nancy (with the laughing face)', 'That old feeling', 'Angel eyes', 'A taste of honey', 'Glad to be unhappy', 'Easy living', 'Desmond blue' y 'Autumn leaves'.

Jazz es finde - Jesús Mañeru + Franc O'Shea - 18/07/26
El navarro de Estella Jesús Mañeru firma su primer disco como compositor, arreglista y percusionista: 'De estraperlo', con piezas como 'Huída', 'Márgenes', 'Cosita tonta', 'Peregrinación' o 'A Mú', acompañado por el flautista Juan Carlos Aracil, el saxofonista Daniel Juárez, el pianista Iñigo Ruiz de Gordejuela y el contrabajista Miguel Rodrigáñez y, como invitados, Javier Colina (acordeón) y Rita Payés (trombón y voz). Hace 20 años que el bajista, compositor y productor, Franc O´Shea, nacido en Suazilandia, África Austral, publicó su disco 'Alkimia', grabado en Granada en el transcurso de un largo proceso de casi seis años y para el que pudo contar con Jorge Pardo (flauta), Juan Manuel Cañizares (guitarra flamenca) y Rubem Dantas (cajón y percusiones varias) en composiciones propias como 'Anam cara', 'Jayena', 'Dream catcher' o 'Shakti'.
