Join Jerk and Soy for their podcast where they give their unqualified opinions on lifestyle and culture. Nothing is off-limits, except the Holy Trinity (Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, and McNuggets). As first-generation Jamaican and Chinese Canadians, they’ll serve up their takes on current stories, seasoned with some Jerk and Soy (a strange combination, but it works).
This week we rate John Cena's apology to China (Soy couldn't do it in Mandarin, but John Cena could have). Jerk drags the Powerpuff Girls live-action TV show, but will still watch it when it airs, while Soy breaks down Andrew Yang's awkward interview by Ziwe. Following Tony Hinchliffe getting cancelled, we also remind our listeners that there is no scenario where a white person needs to use a racial slur. On Armchair Critic, we review Those Who Wish Me Dead, and fawn over the return of the OG Tomb Raider, Angelina Jolie.

Without Remorse... or Fun or Logic!
This week we rate Chrissy Teigen's apology (you either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain). Jerk is blown away by Caitlyn Jenner's press tour in support of her bid for governenor, and Soy disagrees with his fave's (Donald Glover) hot take. On Armchair Critic, we watched Without Remorse and discuss how many ways a movie can show a shirtless Michael B. Jordan (spoilers: a LOT!)

Nomadland and the art of pooping in buckets
This week we break down the Oscar winners - and review Nomadland (Best Picture winner and a movie we never want to watch again). Jerk gets hyped about the Eternals and Soy wades into the discussion of who gets to play what roles in media.

Thunder Force 2: Demi Lovato vs #dietculturevultures
This week, we discuss Demi Lovato taking on a local frozen yogurt store and their sugar-free cookies (no you didn't misread that sentence). Jerk and Soy also contemplate voting conservative after Canada released the latest federal budget. On armchair critic, we reach new lows with Thunder Force and pray that Melissa McCarthy will go back to making movies with Paul Feig.

Godzilla vs Kong vs Your Brain
This week on armchair critic it’s the showdown of the season - Godzilla versus Kong! No matter who wins - your brain loses. We also break down the Ray Fisher and Warner Bros debacle, as well as structural racism in medicine. Finally we rate the James Charles’ apology (the latest one).

All hail Lil Nas X - King of the Internet
This week, Jerk performs a satanic ritual to pay tribute to Lil Nas X's internet-breaking rollout for Montero (Call Me By Your Name). Soy has no time for Jay Leno's apology to Asian Americans. We also watched the (Oscar-nominated!!) Borat Subsequent Moviefilm and lament about the days when watching a baker write something antisemitic on a cake was shocking (now it's just another Monday).

Zack Snyder's Justice League of Slo-Mo and Desaturated Visuals
Jerk and Soy go head to head debating whether the 4 hour cut of Justice League is a good movie. Soy experiences whiplash with all the recognition for Asian film in this year's Oscars nominations and the Georgia shootings (#StopAsianHate). Jerk is over the moon about Beyoncé's history-making night at the Grammys and the ascent of Blue Ivy Carter.

Minari and the case for spanking children
This week, we recap the glorious train wreck that is also known as the 78th annual Golden Globe Awards. We break down the culture war’s big week (Potato Head: just a toy or the gay agenda?!) and try to figure out why readers angry about the Seuss estate stopping the publication of books with offensive imagery would respond by… buying more Dr. Seuss books? Finally, Jerk is a fan of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s apology, and Soy raves (read: rambles pretentiously) about Minari (spoilers – obviously).

I Care a Lot About Rosamund Pike’s Blunt Cut Bob
This week we finally watch a fun movie - I care a lot and we’re looking forward to calling someone a crock of charisma uniqueness nerve and talent. Soy downgrades his rating of Ted Cruz’s apology and Jerk learns that Lakeith Stanfield raps on the side and has beef with Charlamagne the God. We also rate Chris D’Elia’s apology.

Pieces of a Woman who WFC (Work from Cancun) -
TW// sexual assault.
This week we watched Pieces of a Woman and praise the lord that we are incapable of getting pregnant. We celebrate Black History Month with the Region of Durham (Hey Siri, play Rude by Magic!) and talk about why we need to stop asking survivors of abuse why they didn’t leave. Finally, we rate Ted Cruz’s 'apology' (he's just a really good dad who can organize natural disaster relief from hundreds of miles away!)

Malcolm & Marie: JUST BREAK UP
This week, Jerk and Soy debate whether Malcolm & Marie is a great piece of black art or a pretentious film school project. In our juicy dumplings, we talk about the travesty of cutting up a Birkin bag to make a pair of Birkenstocks, the irony of Safaree (a man with a dildo shaped from his dick) complaining about women showing skin, and Gina Carano getting cancelled (maybe don’t compare criticism with life as a Jewish person in Nazi Germany?!). We also rate the (17 year too late) apology from Justin Timberlake (#FreeBritney).

EP.3. Two men review Promising Young Woman
Hallelujah! This week, we rate Morgan Wallen's apology that is dare we say... good? Soy learns what's up with Jewish space laser, and Jerk ponders the mechanics of Lil Uzi Vision. We also discuss Promising Young Woman and how the trailer was the most promising part.

EP.1. Pinnacles and Releases whilst Quarantining
In our premiere episode, we review episodes 1-4 of the hottest show on the ton, BRIDGERTON and how to tell apart all the white people on the show. We also discuss why you don't need to update Mahjong with avocado illustrations, Lana Del Rey's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad press tour, and we rate an apology featuring a 'daddy' cap (Spoilers: it's not good - and put some RESPEKT ON GAYLE KING'S NAME)
SPOILER ALERT: Bridgerton.
