SPECIAL ELECTION SEASON EPISODE: I Have A Charge to Keep
We are in the middle of a historic presidential election. It is important that we make the right choice. Christians have the responsibility to engage the political process. Our participation is necessary because of the sacrifice of our ancestors, the present conditions of our sisters and brothers and the future hope for our children. Lives are impacted everyday based on decisions made by politicians. We have been uniquely positioned by God to speak and act on His behalf in the political arena. Don't Give Up!
The recent decision by the Attorney General of Kentucky to not charge the officers who killed Breonna Taylor is another example of how justice continues to evade African-Americans in the United States. However, those of us who believe in Jesus and Justice, must not lose heart. Today's message and scripture serves as a reminder and re-enforces the truth that Jesus assures us that through persistent prayer and passionate protest, we can acquire and achieve justice.
