Podcast Overview

This podcast was started based on feedback I received from the many men I have been honored to coach and to have a place people can hear stories and inspiration from other men on their own journeys of healing and growth in their masculinity and as individuals. On my personal journey I struggled knowing who I was and where I fit in and belong in the world of men. Today I live free and with acceptance of who I am and proud of the man I have become. My dream is to share this inspiration with others. If you are inspired by something shared, have questions etc. email me at ezzy@bayareafc.org.

Male Sexual Abuse and it’s impacts. A discussion with Doug Carpenter - Part 2

Part 2 of my interview with Doug Carpenter on the topic of Male Sexual Abuse and how that may impact one’s confidence, masculinity and sexual preference. This episode is an excerpt of my previous podcast - Understanding and growing in healthy masculinity - A discussion with Doug Carpenter (Part 1) - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jewish-mens-healing-and-recovery/id1593316488?i=1000550080236 Many men that I counsel struggle with their sexual identity who they truly are as men and how sexual abuse played a role in their masculinity and how they can be a part of the frum community while having such feelings and struggles. Being that this is an excerpt from a longer discussion, you’ll find in this episode there is no beginning or end to the interview and we pick up in middle of the conversation. Understanding and growing in healthy masculinity - A discussion with Doug Carpenter (Part 1)

Part 1 of my conversation with Doug Carpenter on the topic of understanding and growing in healthy masculinity. Many men struggle with understanding who they are as men and how they fit in, whether it be a lack of confidence, or perhaps secret shame and insecurity often they struggle with fitting in. For many trauma or abuse plays a role too. In this Podcast Doug and I talk about these topics and his two books that address these issues extensively. In part two we talk about how sexual abuse can impact a mans masculinity and sexual identity (click here for part 2 https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jewish-mens-healing-and-recovery/id1593316488?i=1000550085346) Click below to purchase Doug’s books Childhood Trauma and the Non-Alpha Male - Gender Role Conflict, Toxic Shame, and Complex Trauma: Finding Hope, Clarity, Healing, and Change - https://www.amazon.com/dp/1620235986/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_32MXW4J1BDT1PBZDF8F5 Secret Shame: A Survivor's Guide to Understanding Male Sexual Abuse and Male Sexual Development - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QK1Y7L1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_Z5P3XVH9SCG8Y0NH7DW2 If there is anything you hear on this podcast and would like to share feedback or to set up a free consultation with me for counseling I can be reached at ezzy@bayareafc.org.
