<p><strong>EP5 Baby MBB consultant thoughts (tbc)</strong></p><p>作为两个即将在同一个公司、不同海岸工作的PPT人，我们这一期聊了聊关于咨询的种种，从两年前两个人一起准备case的憧憬、到去年的咨询实习、以及现在开工前心路历程的改变，也分享了我们现阶段对于这个行业本身的一些期待、反思与批评。</p><p><strong>Hosts 主持人</strong></p><p>小虾：毕业于Georgetown（国际经济、德语、非洲研究）</p><p>甲鱼：毕业于UPenn（文学、商科、计算机）</p><p><strong>Content 大纲</strong></p><p>0:00 intro - 从两年前第一次实习面试到现在入职</p><p>1:59 心路历程: 对咨询的态度有什么改变？mentors we looked up to that drew us in; 实习前的期待/想象 vs. 现阶段对全职工作的认知</p><p>9:26 工作和生活的分界线: the “work life balance” - autonomy over our lives that’s different from student life (having space and priorities outside work)</p><p>12:30 咨询作为一个大学和现实世界之间的”缓冲”；在工作的同时也达到自我提升</p><p>14:55 对于咨询这个行业作为精英主义金字塔的批评和反思，和一些对未来的期待</p><p>24:47 MBTI性别测试&quick use of labels in consulting；最适合咨询的性格和工作状态？</p><p>27:52 closing remarks</p><p><strong>Highlights 亮点</strong></p><p>“<strong>我对于咨询这个概念一开始的熟悉其实是源于‘人’</strong>——更多是对于从事这项工作的人的喜欢。我大一暑假认识了一个前MBB咨询、后面跳出来做心理健康创业的前辈。她对于事物所有的清晰的思考、在架构上的想法让当时的我觉得好像可以解决任何问题。这也让我意识到我所有在课本上学到的知识以及之后我想做的社会影响力方面的内容，都有可能通过<strong>提高自己的思维</strong>去达成。”</p><p>“真的要步入人生下一个阶段的时候，更有了<strong>‘这份工作会把你带到哪里’</strong>的思考。”</p><p>“对于一些员工来说，他们和公司的关系更像是<strong>共赢的合作</strong>：开始工作的前几年以是一个学习的姿态，不断获取新的经验和技能；到了后期，有了更具体的需求，也可以要求做一些更擅长且更感兴趣的项目。这样会有一种‘我也在变得更好，更有价值’的感受，而<strong>工作的过程也因此包含了自我价值的回报</strong>。”</p><p>“咨询这个行业本身所带来的的名声和社会地位会让这个选择变得less risky，不管是作为职业跳板还是自我价值的证明。我也知道一部分做咨询的人非常向往这个行业所带来的奢华的生活方式——这样飞头等舱、住高级酒店的光鲜亮丽的生活。另外一方面，咨询也是非常看名校的一个行业，大家在工作的时候也乐于处于这样的<strong>精英圈子带来的舒适圈</strong>里。”</p><p>“我们开始考虑咨询行业的那一秒开始，就已经助长了这一些咨询公司进一步从‘好学校’招募‘好学生’，也从而加剧了这当中的<strong>精英主义</strong>...开始工作的这几年会比大学四年更加能体现出不同的人生选择，快速成长的感受也会帮助我们更好的回答‘如何对社会做贡献’这个问题吧。”</p><p>“咨询行业中MBTI的人气非常高，因为它能帮助我们很快速地向他人介绍自己。在我和我上级的聊天中，我们一致认为最适合咨询MBTI性格或许是<strong>ESTJ——外向，细心，理智，有条不紊</strong>。但是人还是可塑性很高的，所以这样所谓的‘主流性格’更多还是针对<strong>在工作场合下所需要的一些特质和状态</strong>，而非刻板的要求。”</p>
