Jiggle n Juice is a collective formed by two artists who happen to be best friends, Shae Myles and Georgia Tooke. They also happen to live 4,405 miles apart. The pair met in 2019 at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen, Scotland, where Shae was studying and Georgia undertook her exchange semester. Jiggle n Juice is a platform dedicated to engaging in discursive and critical conversation, and showcasing creativity. We aim to foster a support system for creatives by producing materials that help to bridge the gap from art school to professional practice.

We’re back with our sixth episode of Chewing Gum to talk to our honourary third member of J&J, Cassia Powell, about their first (of many) pets! THIS EP'S CHEWY TOPICS: tamagotchis (!!!), their tech, history & genealogy; care practices, character customization as a form of exploring one’s identity, experimenting with morality ABOUT THE ARTIST: Bio: Cassia Powell (they/them) is an emerging contemporary artist and curator based in the unceded lands of Lekwungen-speaking peoples, otherwise known as Victoria, BC. Powell is a BFA Visual Arts honours graduate from the University of Victoria. They are the co-founder of the <a href="https://dirtydishescollective.com/">Dirty Dishes Collective</a>; a curatorial project which aims to support emerging artists and cultural practitioners as a site of critical discourse, creative experimentation, and community engagement.
