In 1934, how could Fay Brown legally sell beer at his Hutchinson restaurant?
Steve couldn’t explain how a Hutchinson restaurant on Main Street in 1934 could advertise beer when state legislation permitting the sale of 3.2% beer (by weight) wasn’t passed until 1937 when it classified the drink as a non-intoxicating “cereal malt beverage.” I didn't have the answer either.
