About Jim's Take
The world is changing - faster than we can keep up. But change is a distraction, and the way to respond to macro change is to focus on micro you. Jim's Take creates an environment that’s ripe for learning practical, tangible and interesting ways to remain relevant while improving yourself and the people around you. Jim Frawley is an arbiter of change; working as an executive coach and business consultant with a unique capability in getting people to do things they didn’t think they could. After some experimentation on using this capability for good or evil, he decided on the good. (But not before convincing an Irish cousin to swim in the Hudson River.) He has learned a lot by making very questionable decisions and loves sharing those learnings with anyone interested in listening. This podcast is just one component of what he always wished to build. Where Do You Fit, Now That The Rules Have Changed? (Ep. 164)
Published 11 May 2026 · Transcript excerpt
[…] And the beliefs we hold about ourselves and the way things should be are out the window because the entire environment has changed. And it takes a very mature, I mean, this was part of my maturing as an adult to admit when maybe you were wrong. Or maybe information has changed, say, wow, you know what I can't believe this is a completely different environment than what I thought. I used to think leadership was about this, but now I see it's more relevant as this. I used to think that the best way to parent was this. And now I see this and this is more interesting kind of way. And that's maturing, it's growing up, it's adulthood. […]
