Short Stories Study: The Telltale Heart, The Yellow Wallpaper, and The Lottery and Why I am the Way I Am
This episode is a study on three short stories that have shaped me as a writer, reader, and person. They're dark and creepy and gothic and all things nuts and amazing. They are easily found online and worth a read or revisit! As always, I hope you enjoy my point of view on these, but if you don't or simply want to chat about it or even suggest shorts for me to read, you can reach me at the following:

The Stories We Tell Ourselves
Hey! Hey!
In this episode I talk about negative self-talk and how most of the negative stories we repeat to ourselves when we "fail" are not started by us, but we do expand upon them. This is a little less of a light-hearted episode, and more of a self-reflective, catharsis episode. I hope you find something in my experience to help you through yours. <3

Shitty First Drafts and Why They're Important
Hi again! Today I discuss the writing concept of shitty first drafts. It's part of the writing process and a necessary "evil" to get to the heart of what you really want to say. This episode is a ramble on why I've decided that it's good practice to view everything new I do, or every new fail as a shitty first draft.
**I had trouble with the editing tool, so i couldn't get rid of the coughing! I'm so sorry!**
The excerpt I read from is "Shitty First Drafts" by Anne Lamott from her book on writing, Bird by Bird.

A little transparency on how this stuff isn't as streamlined as we would hope, BUT I will figure it all and get better. "Higher, Further, Faster, baby!"
