تأسست الجمعية ببداية عام 2011 تحت مظلة وزارة التنمية الاجتماعية كجمعية نسويه تطوعية غير ربحية ، غايتها الرئيسة تمكين المرأة وتطويرها قدراتها مجتمعيا بمحافظة الطفيلة، من خلال تنفيذ برامج متخصصة لبناء أسر آمنة ، يتمحور عمل الجمعية حول الأرشاد الأسير من خلال مركز امل للإرشاد الأسري وهو أحد البرامج الرئيسية فيها ، وكذلك العمل على التنمية المجتمعية للشباب خاصة ذكورا ونساءا من خلال الشراكات المتعددة سواء المحلية أو الوطنية اوالدولية .
