<p>Fred Hampton was the Chairman of the Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party. He joined the party at only 19, and very quickly began leading and organizing people to work together. Through collective action, Hampton and the Black Panthers were able to feed local children in Chicago for free and provide other community programs while cooperating with other racial groups in the fight for working class liberation in America.
