Just three guys, hanging out, having some beers and chatting about Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings, amongst other stuff... Join us for regular episodes in which we recount stories from the tabletop, discuss tactics, get distracted by misunderstood rules, admire painting habits and marvel at the lore Para Bellum creates. If you're looking for poorly thought-through list building strategies and uninformed opinions on scenarios for one of the best miniature wargames on the planet, look no further.
"The best London based Conquest podcast" -Aaron, Just Roll Ones
Welcome to Joshing Around in Eä! For the second time in a row we are three mates drinking and chatting about Conquest (minus two)...fingers crossed we'll be back to normal operation soon enough! As always, we're here to discuss Para Bellum's Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings, and this episode felt important to release in advance of the London Grand Tournament 2026...
No Joshes around for this episode but they very much get a mention as we share lists and preview the scenarios we're expecting to face.
What you'll discover in this episode is how we don't mind experimenting with going against the grain of the global meta, particularly as we try running a list that would definitely not get us anywhere near to the world championships in Chios...literally while they are taking place!
Listen in to hear one person's take on the scenarios, what strategies ought to be employed and what to look out for. Rub your hands in glee when you find out what list you'll end up facing if the matchup goes in your favour, and perhaps take away a tiny smidgeon of wisdom along the way.

Ep 37 - UK Games Expo review
Welcome to Joshing Around in Eä! We'd normally be three mates drinking and chatting about Conquest, but today is our first ever SECRET PODCAST! It's absolutely still a podcast about games, specifically about Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings, but this one is something more than our normal tabletop game discussions.
Yes, in this episode Josh sneaks his way to a mic by himself, and shares about his time at UKGE. We know it's been some time since our most recent episode and with life stages changing we're finding it hard to carve out the time we need, so this felt like a necessity...
Listen in to hear what horrific list Josh took, hear about his matchups and he even ends up talking about painting for a moment so there's a surprise around every corner.

Ep 36 - Getting competitive with a list that only has two units
Welcome to Joshing Around in Eä! We're just three mates taking a while to get onto drinking grappa...again...and chatting about Conquest...
This episode, we procrastinate by talking smack about our professional nemeses, before going all creative about miniatures games that are DEFINITELY NOT Conquest, and to be honest don't exist and most likely never will. But there's always hope!
We also go into a battle report and analysis of a sweaty Hundred Kingdoms list facing off against a Spires list containing literally only two regiments. If you want an excuse to always get the advantage for having fewer cards, after listening to this you'll have the exact how-to for precisely that. You'll honestly never look back.
