Holiness means being set apart, completely unique, and unlike anything else. God is holy in a way that has no comparison, and His holiness is inseparable from His glory. The early church in Acts understood this deeply, and it produced a community marked by genuine generosity, unity, and love. Barnabas exemplified this by giving sacrificially with pure motives, while Ananias and Sapphira revealed what happens when someone performs generosity rather than living it. Their story, alongside those of Achan and Nadab and Abihu, shows that God responds decisively when His holiness is treated as ordinary. True worship is not a performance. It is an honest, submitted heart that has genuinely reckoned with who God is. When we truly grasp His holiness, it changes how we live, how we give, and how we treat others.

Acts 3-4
Living on mission is a call extended to every follower of Jesus, not just pastors or missionaries. Acts 3 and 4 show us what that looks like in practice, beginning with simply choosing to see the people around us. Peter and John stopped for a man others had walked past for years, and that moment of attention led to a life-changing miracle. Compassion must move beyond feeling into action, and that action will cost us something: favor, comfort, money, and time. Boldness in living missionally does not come from credentials or personality. It comes from time spent with Jesus and a willingness to be filled by the Holy Spirit. The question is not whether you are called to live on mission. The question is how you are living it out.

Acts 2:42 Devotion
Nearly 2,000 years ago, the early church devoted themselves to four core commitments: the apostles' teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. These were not casual habits but deliberate choices that shaped everything about how they lived together. The Greek word for fellowship, koinonia, meant far more than socializing. It meant deep partnership, shared sacrifice, and standing together against the darkness of their day. Prayer was not a formality but a foundation, and sharing meals was a regular and intentional act of community. These four commitments are just as relevant today as they were then. Devotion is not a feeling. It is a choice made again and again.
