Andor

After an 18 month hiatus, we are back!

In an effort to not go offline for over a year, we're changing up our format at bit. Instead of a book review and a movie compare an contrast, we're going to go a bit more casual and just shoot the breeze about things we like. We'll keep our focus on genre items but remove some of the toil because, as we say in the show, we just have fun talking to each other.

With that in mind, we're going to review some of our favourite recent Star Wars content, Andor.

We talk both seasons of the show along with Rogue One. The discussion is SPOILER-filled, so if that mattrers to you, definitiely hold off listening until you complete the 2 seasons of the show.

Next time, we'll put out our LOST EPISODE that we recorded back in 2023 about A Stich in Time, ss Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel writeen by Andrew Robinson.

Thanks for your patience with us, if you have any comments or feedback, drop us a note on our Facebook page or email us at jtwshow@gmail.com!

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea

In this episode of Journey to Wonder, we harken back all the way to 1870 with the classic submarine adventure, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea (or Seas depending on where you look) by Jules Verne. As always, we discuss our experience with the english translation of the novel and whether or not this 150 plus year old story holds up.

We then dig into the 1954 Disney movie of the same name, how it is simillar, how it is different and whether we like it!

Next time, we're dipping back into the world of Star Trek with A Stitch in Time writeen and read by our faviourtie Cardassian tailor, Andrew J. Robinson. This book was originally released back in the year 2000, however the audiobook released recently, in August of 2023.

If you'd like to provide any feedback, positive or negative, drop us a note on our Facebook page or email us at jtwshow@gmail.com!

As lifelong Star Trek fans, Chris and Joe also dive into thier thoughts about the first season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on the eve of the premeire of the show's second season.Of course, we meander off path into some talk of both NuTrek and Classic Trek and how they influence both the book and the current show.

Next time, we will revert to the classics with Jules Verne's 1871 novel, 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas along with its various film adpataions.

If you'd like to provide any feedback, positive or negative, drop us a note on our Facebook page or email us at jtwshow@gmail.com!
