Resilient Health Systems Bridge Borders
When health threats emerge, the strength of our response depends on the systems and relationships we build in advance. Global health security requires deep community engagement, sustained investment in health workers, and genuine collaboration across borders. Inclusive Digital Health Starts with Visionary Leadership
In a world rapidly shifting to digital health solutions, how do we make sure we’re using technology to increase, not restrict, access to systems and services? In this episode, Biruh Abere, senior technical director for the USAID Digital Health Activity in Ethiopia; Romain Tohouri, senior health management information systems advisor; and Stephanie Watson-Grant, director of the USAID-funded Country Health Information Systems and Data Use (CHISU) program, explore how strategic vision, strong partnerships, and adaptive digital health approaches are necessary to build more equitable health systems. In Ethiopia, JSI works with the Ministry of Health to transform medication management, equip health extension workers with digital tools, and champion women in digital health. Better Data Drives Stronger Supply Chains
Health commodities like medicines and vaccines reach communities thanks to logistics and data systems, and the people who use information from those systems to make critical decisions at the right time.
