What is the church actually for? It's a question every Christian and church needs to wrestle with honestly. In this message, we explore an often neglect reason the church exists: evangelism and mission.
Drawing on Matthew 28:18–20 (The Great Commission) and Acts 1:8, this message unpacks what it truly means to be sent into the world as witnesses for Jesus. But this isn't just big-picture theology, it gets personal and local. What does your Jerusalem look like? Who are the people living within walking distance of your church who have never heard the good news?
You'll discover:
• Why the church must hold both community AND mission together
• Why evangelism is not a spiritual gift, it's a calling for every believer
• How the Holy Spirit empowers you to be a witness in everyday life
• What the census data reveals about the people on our doorstep
• Why staying lost is not an option, and what that means for how we live
Whether you've been a Christian for decades or are still finding your feet in faith, this message will stir your heart, sharpen your vision, and inspire you to take practical steps in sharing the good news of Jesus with the people around you.
