<p>Dr. Richard Marshall (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/rmmarshall/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">@rmmarshall</a>) is an older practitioner based in Edinburgh Scotland. He originally planned to speak about 'Fun, Fear and Function' at an event called '<a href="https://www.instagram.com/artofretreat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">Art of Retreat</a>', but due to Covid, he never got to deliver it. In the podcast we broke down Fun, Fear and Function and the realities of accessible parkour coaching. <p>This week, Hedge interviews Vic Crittenden (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/parkouracle/" target="_blank">@parkouracle</a>). A community organiser with <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/153613838036834/" target="_blank">DC Metro Parkour (DCMP)</a>. </p> <p>They talked about Vic's approach to parkour, his odd sleeping habits and their shared fascination with parkour geekery.</p> <p>They dived deep into:</p> <p>- Statistical analysis in parkour and how to get information out of data.</p> <p>- How it's always important to look at the outliers and the ones who don't fit the standard data set.</p> <p>- What it means to be a community leader and thinking about engaging all the people who use a space.</p> <p>- The link between parkour and civil rights and how different communities use parkour for different needs.</p>
