Human love follows a logic: we love people who are lovable and sacrifice for people who deserve it. In Romans 5:7–8, Paul shows us a love that breaks that logic. "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
In this message, Pr. Raf walks through the radical nature of God's love. We see the logic of human love, the "illogic" of divine love that creates worth where there was none, and the mercy that does not count our past because Christ paid for it on the cross. Salvation is not God's part plus our part; it is all mercy. And the same mercy that saves us also changes us, because where life meets faith, justification and sanctification walk together.

The Right Side of Suffering
What does it mean to be on "the right side of suffering"? We continue our reflection on Romans 5, moving from our secure standing of peace with God (vv. 1–2) into the reality of present trials (vv. 3–5).
We explore the biblical progression of trial: how active endurance under pressure (hupomonē) produces refined, tested character (dokimē), which ultimately yields a hope (elpis) that is not a fleeting feeling, but a rock-solid expectation anchored in the truth of God's Word.
Crucially, this process is not a self-help or self-improvement project. It is the supernatural work of the gospel in those who already stand reconciled in the sovereign grace of God.
