When my wife and I first got married, we were broke. We used toothpaste to fill holes in the drywall, and paper towels were a luxury item.
When life gets overwhelming today, I force myself to remember those toothpaste days. Why?
I’ve been reading through the Psalms, and the idea of remembering is everywhere. In Hebrew, "remembering" isn't just passive recall—it’s bringing the past into the present in a way that changes how you live now.
1. Remembering fights despair. When life feels heavy, remembering how God brought us through the past reminds us He can—and will—do it again.
2. Remembering keeps us humble. When we forget where we came from, we start thinking our own effort saved us. Remembering His provision keeps our hearts faithful to Him.
Today, we have drywall spackle and paper towels. God provided then, and He provides now.
What active memory of God’s faithfulness do you need to hold onto today?

God is For You
What if you truly believed that God was actually for you?
In Exodus, God called Aaron and his sons to serve as priests. But here's the thing: God already knew that Nadab and Abihu would mess up. He knew they’d fall short, yet He called them anyway. He gave them the opportunity. That tells us so much about His character.
It is so easy to fall into the trap of thinking God is just waiting for us to fail. But He isn't condemning you for sins you haven't even committed yet. He’s not sitting back, waiting to judge you—He is actively giving you the chance to do the right thing.
God knows every single mistake you’re ever going to make, and He is still for you. Let that encourage you today: God knows you completely, and He is still in your corner.

The Long Way Round
What if God is taking you the long way around for your protection?
In Exodus 13 (https://ref.ly/logosref/bible$2Bcsb2.2.13), when Pharaoh finally let the Israelites go, God didn't lead them on the shortest route to the Promised Land—even though it was right there. Why? Because the direct path went straight through enemy territory, and God knew if they faced war right away, they’d panic and run back to Egypt.
We pray for open doors, but what if the "no" on that job was actually God shielding you? What if the delayed timing or the ended relationship was Him keeping you safe?
Sometimes the delay is the path. What looked like a detour for Israel ended up leading right to the miracle of the Red Sea. Trust the route He’s taking you on—even when it feels like the long way round. #FaithOverFear #TrustTheProcess #GodsTiming #Exodus13 (https://ref.ly/logosref/bible$2Bcsb2.2.13) #BiblicalTruth #ChristianPost #FaithJourney #TrustGod #RedSeaMoment #ChristianMotivation #GodsProtection #DailyDevotional #JustaThought
