PreIntro- The extra boost I needed
<p>I had this idea to do a deep dive into the New Testament. </p> <p>I felt like a nudge I needed to take.</p> <p>I started, then stopped, and started to resist.</p> <p>I started to question.</p> <p>I started to doubt.</p> <p>Then I had a conversation with someone who was raised in a Catholic School.</p> <p>I have never been to a religious school but I assumed they learned from the Bible.</p> <p>I thought the source of information for the school would be the Word, the Bible.</p> <p>Not at this school, they used a religious book.</p> <p>When I quoted what our purpose as humans was he stopped me and said, "I'm glad you gleaned that from the Bible but it doesn't say that anywhere."</p> <p>Galatians 5:22</p> <p>But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patients, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things.</p> <p>Him stating that no such thing was in the Bible made me step back and think.</p> <p>Our conversation furthered and he referred to Jesus as God's big toe and I knew that was my sign.</p> <p>If this is what the interpretation of the Bible is I need to get more first hand knowledge.</p> <p>I can not let people who have never read the Bible teach me what the book says.</p> <p>This is a journey I have to take.</p> <p>This is an adventure I look forward to embarking!</p>

Intro: Why I'm taking the Dive
<p>Have you ever been curious about the Bible?</p> <p>Have you already explored the Bible?</p> <p>Do you think there is something more out there?</p> <p>I am new to the Bible and am excited to come into this adventure with an open mind and an open heart.</p> <p>I have been using the Bible app for about a year now to discover the Bible.</p> <p>It has been incredibly helpful! </p> <p>Now I am ready for a deeper dive, I'm ready to discover.</p> <p>Growing up when I was taught about religious stories they were told as fairy tales rather than beliefs, I didn't buy it.</p> <p>When I read the Bible now, I feel like I have missed out on so much information that could have been helpful.</p> <p>I didn't want fairy tales and monsters growing up. I wanted love and help and to know that I wasn't alone in this big world.</p> <p>When read correctly I believe that is what the Bible offers.</p> <p>I am plunging into the New Testament and I hope you join me! </p>
