Like it was ever in doubt! Liverpool only needed a point this weekend to clinch their 20th league title — and they did it in style, smashing Tottenham 5-1 at a buzzing Anfield. Arne Slot’s side shook off an early scare from former Red Dominic Solanke and came roaring back with goals from Luis Díaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah, plus a helping hand with an own goal from Destiny Udogie. It made for a much sweeter celebration compared to their behind-closed-doors title win in 2020 — this time, the fans were right there with them, making Anfield rock. It’s been a dream debut season for Arne Slot, who’s managed to keep Liverpool flying high after Jürgen Klopp’s exit. As the Liverpool players soaked in the celebrations with their fans, one thing was clear: the Reds are back on top, and Manchester United’s record isn’t theirs alone anymore. All that plus much more action reviewed on this week's Just For Kicks.

Trent Alexander-Arnold made a sensational return from injury, coming off the bench to score a dramatic late winner that brought Liverpool within touching distance of their twentieth Premier League title—while also confirming Leicester City's relegation. The Foxes became the first team in top-flight history to endure nine consecutive home games without scoring. Alexander-Arnold's precise left-footed strike in the 76th minute, following a chaotic scramble involving Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota, sealed a hard-fought win at the King Power Stadium. Liverpool now head into a potential title-clincher at Anfield against Tottenham next Sunday, though celebrations could start sooner depending on Arsenal’s midweek result. That, plus all the other Premier League action, coming up on this episode of Just For Kicks.

Liverpool moved 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League with a dramatic 2-1 victory over West Ham at Anfield, sealed by Virgil van Dijk’s towering 89th-minute header. On an emotionally charged day that coincided with the Hillsborough anniversary, Luis Díaz opened the scoring for the hosts, only for an Andy Robertson own goal to level things late on. But just as the game seemed destined for a draw, Van Dijk rose to the occasion—both literally and figuratively—to edge Liverpool closer to a historic 20th league title. Elsewhere, Arsenal's title hopes took another dent after a frustrating home draw with Brentford, while Everton stunned Nottingham Forest 1-0 thanks to a late strike from Abdoulaye Doucouré. At St. James' Park, it was a night to forget for Manchester United. With André Onana dropped, stand-in keeper Altay Bayındır endured a rough PL debut as Newcastle dismantled United 4-1 in dominant fashion. All that, plus Champions League previews, on this episode of Just For Kicks.
