A meditation on time and being alive, present, is the second special from Gavin Matts. It was produced by Just for Laughs and taped in Toronto on December 18, 2025.Gavin’s first special, progression (2023), was produced by Bill Burr and All Things Comedy special received wide acclaim, including from New York Magazine, who called it "dark comedy at its best."The special was produced by Jane Churchill-Smith of Just for Laughs and shot by the same all-Canadian camera team that shot last year’s hit, Nirvana The Band The Show The Movie, led by cinematographer Nikolay Michaylov (Matt and Mara) and with help from Jared Raab (BlackBerry), Luca Tarantini, and Suave Hupa.
The edit was done by Reuter and Shaliek Jenkins, who have worked on many popular stand up specials of the last ten years. Sound was done by Kevvy Maher. And Gavin was dressed by the team from James Coward, a Vancouver based clothing company.
