#004 Paul Young

Paul Young; one of the funniest dudes I’ve ever met. Otherwise known as Sven Gudvunson, Paul started Jiu Jitsu earlier this year and I was fortunate enough to share the mats with him. Little did I know that this friendship would allow me to travel to the heart of Ibiza, where Paul and I trained twice a day with some of the Islands’ locals. In this podcast, we reminisce on when we explored Ibizas’ breathtaking viewpoints, our recent catch-up in Turkey, and meeting Antonio - The gentle giant. I hope you enjoy this podcast just as much as I did making it.

#003 Curtis Senior

Curtis Senior - Aka the undercover blue belt, is a BJJ pracitioner and fellow Aussie traveller that I met during my time here in the UK. We connected right away when we trained together at New School Jiu Jitsu in Battersea. Curtis and I soon discovered that we are both from neighbouring coastal towns back home in Australia, which is why I we probably got a long so well. Furthermore, we had a few discussions about how Jiu Jitsu had its unique impact on us individually; making us feel as though we had a family on the mats. No matter how far and wide we travel the globe, Jiu Jitsu has certainly helped us feel confident to do so as he and I both have found in our different walks of life. We also had a couple beers, it was sick! Enjoy.

#002 Joel Crowle

Joel Crowle - aka Yung Joelo was one of the first people I met on the mats and is now one of my best mates. Growing up in Nerang, and then moving to the Tweed Shire, Joel has trained at a few different academies along the coast which is what gives him his tremendous experience in Jiu Jitsu that has earned him his Brown Belt. Not to mention that Joel is one of the funniest guys I know. In this episode, we talk about the things we wish we knew when we started training and eventually giving back to the Jiu Jitsu community. Once we get past the serious stuff, Joel shares some interesting and funny stories that he has encountered on the mats that got me cracking up! Enjoy.
