Biodiversity, Wildlife Conservation & Management या विषयात समर्थने त्याचं पहिलं मास्टर्स केलं आहे. आता Conservation and International Wildlife Trade या विषयात दुसरं मास्टर्स करण्यासाठी तो लंडनमध्ये शिकतोय. मजा मस्ती करण्याच्या वयात समर्थने Archaeology, Geology आणि Anthropology मध्ये डिप्लोमा पूर्ण केले. मुंबईच्या संजय गांधी नॅशनल पार्क मध्ये समर्थ वयाच्या तेविसाव्या वर्षी Nature Education Officer म्हणून रुजू झाला. लोकांच्या मनात Wild Life बद्दल आस्था निर्माण व्हावी यासाठी त्याने तिथे अनेक भन्नाट गोष्टी राबवल्या. खूप कमी वयात त्याने केलेले करियर चॉइसेस, अतिशय वेगळ्या वातावरणात त्याच्यावर झालेले संस्कार, नॅशनल पार्कमध्ये त्याने केलेलं काम आणि अर्थातच त्याचे स्वतःचे Wild Life Experiences अशा विविध विषयांवर नविन काळे यांनी समर्थला बोलतं केलंय. म्हणूनच हा 'wild episode' चुकवू नये असाच!

व्यवसाय अनेक जण करतात ! पण किरण भिडे यांचं वैशिष्ट्य हे की ते एकाच व्यवसायात रमत नाहीत. ते दर चार पाच वर्षांनी व्यवसायाचं क्षेत्र बदलतात. आधी जपान लाईफ मध्ये जपानी गाद्या विकल्या, मग ते ‘माधवबाग’ या सुप्रसिद्ध हेल्थ कंपनीचे सह संस्थापक आणि डायरेक्टर झाले. मग ते सोडून त्यांनी ठाण्यात मेतकूट आणि काठ न घाट ही प्रसिद्ध हॉटेल्स चालवली. त्यानंतर जुनं मराठी साहित्य लोकांनी वाचावं त्यासाठी ‘पुनश्च’ नावाचे ऑनलाईन पोर्टल चालवलं. ते financial advisor देखील झाले. (नुकतेच ते पुन्हा एकदा माधवबाग मध्ये परत गेलेत CEO म्हणून ! पण ही मुलाखत आधी रेकॉर्ड झाल्याने तो संदर्भ या मुलाखतीत नाही.

अक्षय शिंपी हा कलाकार म्हणून किती ताकदीचा आहे याची प्रचिती येण्यासाठी तुम्हाला अक्षयचं दास्ताने बडी बाका आणि दास्ताने रामजी पाहायला हवं. कुठलाही सेट नाही, संगीतसाथ नाही, प्रकाशयोजना नाही… अक्षय आणि त्याची सहकलाकार फक्त performance च्या जोरावर तुम्हाला अडीच तास खुर्चीवर खिळवून ठेवतात. पण दास्तान गोई म्हणजे नेमकं काय? उर्दू भाषेतला हा प्रयोग अक्षयला मराठीत का करावासा वाटला ? या प्रयोगात नक्की काय घडतं ? या प्रयोगाचं सगळ्यांकडून इतकं कौतुक का होतंय ? हा प्रयोग उभा करण्याची प्रोसेस काय होती? अशा अनेक गोष्टींवर नविन काळेने अक्षयशी गप्पा मारल्यात.
