About Kahnversations Podcast 2.0

We've all heard the stories from block buster actors. In Kahnversations, you'll hear interviews with some of Lesly Kahn & Company's working actors, directors, and writers. Folks who have just broken through, not yet to wild star status, but they aren't bartending either (probably). The goal: de-mystifying career trajectories and talking through those moments where everything shifted. We'll learn how they got their start in Hollywood, the challenges and hurdles they faced, and how they overcame the odds, not to mention dish some juicy stories! Listen in and enjoy as these entertainers speak candidly about their path, process, and experiences, and about how Lesly and the Kahnstitute have influenced and shaped their careers. Also, did we mention Lesly impersonations…? Our new hosts (also LK&Co actors!) have a cool, free-flowing vibe that we know you will enjoy. George Twopointoh, producer of the podcast (IG @twopointoh and georgetwopointoh.com) and Patrice Covington, Emmy award winning actress-singer-speaker, and writer and performer of our theme song (@patricecovington on social media) joyfully guide the Kahnversation. Actor Eva De Dominici from The Cleaning Lady

Eva de Dominici is most recently known for her role as Nadia on the series the Cleaning Lady. We connect with the lovely and down to earth Argentine actor as she recounts her first auditions in the US, overcoming her discomfort of presenting herself and introductions in “the room” for auditions (pre-COVID), her struggles while building her English vocabulary, and the realization that her fumbles made her so much more competent for the next audition. Eva gets vulnerable and shares her trials as a young mother trying to make it as an actor with a newborn, and how vulnerability itself is the key to being flexible during auditions. And FINALLY she gets to dishing about her juicy role of Nadia on the Cleaning Lady. She shares her preparations, her aspirations, and the sometimes-misaligned realities of network TV.

Actor Natalee Linez from Siren and Power III: Raising Kanan

We get a chance to catch up with California native, Natalee Linez shares her experiences of support at the Kahnstitute, and Patrice corroborates the need for having a self-tape committee. She dishes about coaching with Lesly (and her fab staff of coaches), daring to suck, and bringing your “special sauce” to the room. Natalee is a generous spirit and during her work on the series Siren developed her M.A.G.I.C. Mornings method. She shares her experience researching and developing this method based on high performers. Eventually, we get into the Power III: Raising Kanan audition/role. Fun moment: Patrice asks, “What does your special sauce take like?” Natalee gives a great answer. But we wanna know what does YOUR special sauce taste like? Natalee Linez is known for her role on the series Siren, and most recently for her work on Power III: Raising Kanan. Social Media links: @nataleelinez @mymagicmornings mymagicmornings.com

Actor Lauren Buglioli from Florida Man, Bad Monkey, and A Jazzman's Blues

In this episode we talk with Lauren Buglioli, Los Angeles born actor who dishes about her role in Florida Man and the torture of going through a long process to get that juicy role, and the axiom "what is meant for you, is meant for you," no matter how impossible it may seem, and how gratitude got her through. Working with legends and being gracious no matter how successful you are was a big takeaway, and many more gems. George asks, “If your headshot has a caption, what would it say?” You will want to hear the answer... Lauren has most recently been noted for her roles in FLORIDA MAN (2022), BAD MONKEY and A JAZZMAN’S BLUES (2022).
