Dropped Season 10 - Alaska Journey Recap Part Two

Episode 70 of Wilder Minds brings the incredible story of Dropped: Season 10 to its conclusion as Chris, Casey, and Jason pick up where they left off following Casey's unexpected extraction from the Alaskan wilderness. With the brothers separated for the first time in the show's history, Chris is forced to navigate the remaining miles of the river alone, facing brutal weather, empty hunting grounds, and the challenge of keeping the expedition alive. But after ten days without seeing a single animal on the hoof, everything changes when a massive bull caribou appears out of nowhere, setting off a chain of events nobody could have predicted. As the journey continues, Chris recounts the adrenaline of taking two incredible bull caribou, including a world-class giant that forces him to make the difficult decision to sacrifice his remaining moose opportunity. The guys dive into the realities of hunting in the Arctic, from solo rafting and meat care to the emotional highs and lows of an expedition that refuses to follow the script. Then, in one of the most unexpected moments in Dropped history, two complete strangers appear at camp carrying rifles, only to reveal they're longtime fans of the show. What follows is an unbelievable encounter that includes another successful caribou hunt, an impromptu filming session, and a massive grizzly bear showing up just yards from camp. With the final extraction approaching, the guys reflect on a season unlike any other in their 15-year journey. From Casey's emotional departure to Chris finishing the expedition without his brother, Season 10 becomes a story about adapting to the unexpected, the bonds forged in the wilderness, and the realization that even the best-laid plans can change in an instant. It's an unforgettable conclusion to their Alaskan adventure, filled with incredible hunting, unexpected friendships, close encounters, and the kind of moments that remind us why we head into the wild in the first place.

Dropped Season 10 - Alaska Journey Recap Part One

After nearly a month away, the guys are finally back in the studio, and there’s a lot to unpack. Episode 69 kicks off the first full recap of Dropped Season 10, from arriving in Fairbanks and dialing in gear to getting weathered in at a remote mining camp before finally reaching the river. They break down what worked, what didn’t, the gear that changed the game, the Starlink mistake that nearly left them without communication, seven bull moose spotted from the air, and a brutal day on the river battling driving rain, heavy wind and the infamous Rock Garden. But about halfway through the trip, everything changes. A message from home brings devastating news for Casey, forcing the team to immediately shift from hunting mode to figuring out how to get him out of one of the most remote places in North America. With weather hammering Alaska, landing strips disappearing and no easy extraction point nearby, the guys recount the decisions, logistics and emotions behind getting Casey off the river and back to his family while the rest of the crew faces a completely different reality moving forward. It’s an episode about far more than hunting. It’s about the unpredictability of Alaska, the importance of preparation, the people you depend on when things go wrong and the realization that control in the backcountry is often just an illusion. For the first time in all their years of adventures together, Chris and Casey’s journey is suddenly split in two, leaving Chris and the crew staring down the second half of Dropped without his brother beside him. And that’s where the story is only beginning.

Alaska Bound, Airport Contraband, Shaq in a Super Cub and Bo Knows Hunting

The countdown is officially on. In Episode 68 of Wilder Minds, the guys sit down for one final podcast before disappearing into the Alaska backcountry for the next month. Dropped: Project Alaska is days away, which means bows are being tuned, rifles are getting dialed, solar charging systems are being tested, packs are being weighed, and every last piece of gear is getting one final look. They dive into backcountry bow setups, arrow weight, broadheads, draw weight, and Chris’ first experience setting up his Winchester Model 70 Alaskan with a suppressor. Then, as usual, things go completely off the rails. The guys discover Shaq is a hunter and immediately start figuring out how you'd get a seven-foot, 350-plus-pound man into the Alaska bush. That leads to dream hunts with Shaq and Bo Jackson, the return of match play in PGA golf, the wild story of American travelers facing prison time after accidentally bringing ammunition into Turks and Caicos, and their own airport security disasters involving forgotten shells, knives, a charcuterie board, and a 12-inch tree saw. Eventually, everything comes back to Alaska. The production system is better, the gear is lighter, the clothing is dialed, and the goal is bigger than ever: two moose and two caribou, something they've never accomplished on a season of Dropped. They'll be sending updates from the field whenever Starlink allows, while Yukon: The Lost Season begins September 1 on the Keefer Brothers app. This is the final Wilder Minds before Alaska. The next time the guys sit behind the microphones, they'll have 30 days of new stories to tell.
