The Unsolved Case of Jim Johnson Jr.
On December 6, 2013, 39-year-old Jim Johnson Jr., a devoted father of six, successful entrepreneur, and beloved family man known as "Suga Bear", disappeared shortly after visiting Goolies Barber Shop on South Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, Florida. Five days later, his remains were discovered in a wooded area off South Beach Street in Daytona Beach. The Unsolved Murder of David Carter
On September 28, 2018, David Darnell Carter Sr. went to a high school football game to watch his teenage son play. A regular, ordinary evening spent supporting the family he adored. David was a devoted father, a hard worker at the Magna Seating Plant, and a well-loved presence in his Melvindale, Michigan community. When David failed to show up for work 2 days later or return calls over the next few days, his family knew something was wrong. Their worst fears were realized when his remains were discovered along Interstate 75 in Ohio. Investigators quickly identified a primary person of interest, his then-girlfriend Tamera, "Tammy" Williams. Who was briefly detained, but released pending further investigation. When the investigation finally caught up to her, fled, sparking a nationwide manhunt that continues to this day. Years later, despite a federal warrant and a spot on the U.S. Marshals Most Wanted list, Tamera remains at large, leaving a grieving family searching for closure and accountability. In this episode, we trace the timeline of late September 2018, examine the evidence gathered across state lines, and look into the ongoing search for justice for David Carter. #DavidCarter #JusticeForDavidCarter #15MostWanted #TameraWilliams #ColdCase 🎙️ Welcome to Kept on Ice! 🎙️ A True Crime podcast focusing on Cold & Unsolved Cases. The Unsolved Case of Brittany Locklear
On the cold morning of January 7, 1998, 5-year-old Brittany Lynn Locklear stood at the end of her dirt driveway on Grainey Road in Hoke County, North Carolina, waiting for the elementary school bus. Her mother stepped inside their home for just a moment and when she returned, Brittany was gone. A neighbor reported witnessing a full-sized pickup truck slam on its brakes, an unknown man grabbed Brittany, and sped away. Within hours, a massive search effort uncovered her clothing discarded along a rural road. Tragically, the following afternoon, Brittany was discovered in a drainage ditch roughly three miles from her home. Decades later, despite DNA evidence, thousands of tips, and a suspect vehicle description, Brittany’s killer remains at large. In this episode, we examine the timeline of that January morning, the ongoing efforts by the Hoke County Sheriff's Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI), and why investigators believe someone holds the final key to bringing closure to the Locklear family. There is currently a $20,000 state reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction If you have any information, no matter how small you think it is please contact the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 875-5111 or leave an anonymous tip at (910) 878-1100 🎙️ Welcome to Kept on Ice! 🎙️ A True Crime podcast focusing on Cold & Unsolved Cases. The Unsolved Case of Charlie "Jay" McCord
On October 14, 2014, Charlie “Jay” McCord spent his morning the way he always did, calling his son to wish him a happy 17th birthday, dropping his youngest daughter off with his mother, and opening up his barbershop Mr. Barber Man, in Montgomery, Alabama. Charlie was a U.S. Army veteran, a devoted father of eight, and a fixture in his community. He was the kind of man who gave free haircuts for back-to-school drives and never turned away anyone in need. Over a decade later, despite surveillance images of a person of interest and a vehicle connected to the scene, Charlie’s murder remains unsolved. In this episode, we break down the timeline of October 14, 2014, examine the key evidence released by law enforcement, and talk about a family's ongoing fight for justice. If you have any information on Charlie’s murder, no matter how small you think it is please contact the Montgomery Police Department at (334) 625-2831 or Central Alabama CrimeStoppers at (334) 215-STOP (7867). 🎙️ Welcome to Kept on Ice! 🎙️ A True Crime podcast focusing on Cold & Unsolved Cases.
