Breaking Free: Ketamine's Role in Overcoming Food Addiction

Episode Summary: In this episode of The Ketamine Coaching Academy Podcast, host Bronwyn Davis welcomes therapist Michelle Brewer for an intimate conversation about healing disordered eating through ketamine-assisted therapy. Michelle shares her journey from traditional psychology to integrating psychedelic tools, explaining how ketamine helps release rigid self-beliefs and reconnect individuals to their bodies through intuitive eating. She discusses the connection between emotional eating, early trauma, and mother–daughter relationships, emphasizing that overeating is often a coping mechanism for unhealed pain rather than a lack of willpower. By combining mindfulness, group meals, and low-dose ketamine sessions, Michelle helps clients experience compassion, awareness, and deep transformation. The discussion also touches on Rebus theory (relaxed beliefs under psychedelics), the power of community healing, and the importance of self-trust in recovery. Ultimately, Michelle’s work reveals that healing one’s relationship with food is not about control — it’s about reconnecting to one’s authenticity, compassion, and inner wisdom. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Host: Bronwyn Davis: With an extensive background as a Television News Anchor, Bronwyn Davis is now leveraging her voice to spotlight the transformative potential of ketamine coaching.
