Do you ever wonder, "will anyone listen to the message?" Maybe because you think they have it all and don't need God, or it's too exclusive, or the message is unlikely to take root in this person or that place because of spiritual darkness, competing beliefs, or devotion to other gods. I don't think you're alone. Interestingly, Jesus took His disciples on a road trip to a centre of pagan worship and spiritual oppression, and right there He asked them, “Who do you say I am?” Their response would speak volumes...as ours as well. For at the heart of being a Good News People is our confession that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the living God. And that confession shapes our mission: to make disciples in all places, even places where darkness seems to reign, even at the gates of Hades—and among all people, even those who serve and worship other gods. So it's probably normal to ask "will anyone listen to the message" but Jesus' response should encourage and challenge His followers to press on! Jesus is building His church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it!

Do You Know How Blessed You Are?
At Thanksgiving, we tend to count our blessings...family, health, provision, friendships, homes, and the many good material things before us. This is appropriate and right but there's so much more! Ephesians 1:1–14 invites us to look beyond even these wonderful gifts to blessings that are infinitely greater and eternal. In Christ, we have been chosen, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, given an inheritance, and sealed with the Holy Spirit. These blessings cannot be taken away by changing circumstances, declining health, financial uncertainty, or the loss of earthly possessions. The good news of the gospel is that God has blessed us with far more than what we can see or hold in our hands. In Christ He has given us Himself, a new identity, a secure future, and every spiritual blessing in Christ. This Thanksgiving, let’s not only count what God has given us, but celebrate what He has given us in Christ and share it with others. See you Sunday!Pastor Rob

Confessing Jesus as Lord Through Your Life
John 3:1-5
What does it really mean to confess Jesus as Lord—not simply with our lips, but with our whole lives? In John 3, Nicodemus comes to Jesus under the cover of darkness, searching for answers, and Jesus confronts him with a truth that reaches far deeper than religious knowledge...we must be born again. To confess Jesus as Lord is to surrender our whole lives to His rule and reign allowing the King to transform our hearts, reshape our desires, and direct the way we live. And this matters because disciples of Jesus are called to be good news people wherever they go as they go. The reign of Jesus should be visible through the way we love, serve, forgive, welcome, speak, and live. Like Nicodemus, we are invited to move from simply knowing about Jesus to being transformed by Him, so that the kingdom we confess with our mouths is the kingdom we embody with our lives. The question is not only, “Do I believe Jesus is Lord?” but, “Does His lordship shape the way I live and do the people around me encounter something of His good news through me?” Looking forward to seeing you Sunday!Pastor Rob
