Khaskura Podcast intends to share experiences of Anuja Magar-Shakya and Rama Shah, two immigrant women from Nepal living in NYC. English is our second language so please bear with us.
In this episode, we talk about how there are a lot of differences in ideology and opinions and the way we conduct ourselves due to the generation gap but it does not mean that we cannot learn from each other. So put your thinking caps on because this will be intense and fun.
Sorry for saying "it is messed up" a LOT!
Disclaimer: we are not saying all folks from the older generation are the same. We know lots of uncles and aunties who are way ahead of their times and are truly progressive. We are only pointing out the doings of people who are stuck in their old ways which do more harm than good.

Anuja feels strongly about maintaining your self-identity in the hoshposh of culture and I Rama feel that we as immigrants also need to adopt the new culture and try to understand other cultures within the giant umbrella of American culture… We both do feel strongly about ways to assimilate in the USA.
