Ashok Vajpeyi's poem, written during the Covid lockdown, is not only a prayer for the Earth and all its inhabitants but is also a reminder of the extent to which humanity depends on nature.

Dharti Ke Is Hisse Mein
Rajesh Joshi's poem 'Dharti Ke Is Hisse Mein' depicts a seashore - where amidst the sounds of birds, waves, fish, and trees, there is also a deep quietude. The poem also asks us as to why this quietude has become so rare for us today?

Amarphal
In his poem Amarphal, Arun Kamal is in the search of a special kind of fruit. One that is not only tied to the memories of his childhood but also one that is bursting with the joy of its own ripeness. A fruit that becomes a metaphor for the wholeness and abundance of nature.

Aaraa Machine
The sawmill in Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari's poem 'Aaraa Machine', doesn't just cut through some trees. It also wounds our deep relationship with nature. The poem warns us that our tools, if not employed properly, have the capability of threatening our very existence.

Paani Kya Kar Raha Hein
In this poem Naresh Saxena reminds us that nature is not just dead matter but a living, breathing ecosystem. All its elements are continuously playing their part in maintaining its equilibrium. In this context, he asks the human race, that whilst nature always plays its part, how will their responsibility get fixed?

Mitti Ka Moolya

Chhat Par Baarish
In this poem, Nemichandra Jain describes that wonderful scene when people gather at their rooftops after rain. Soaking in the natural beauty, and for a brief period, forgetting about all their worries.

Sheher Mein Khoya Jungle

Phoolon Ki Mehek

Jharne Ki Aawaaz
In his poem 'Jalprapaat Hai Sameep', Vinod Kumar Shukla brings us close to a waterfall. He compels us to listen carefully - so that we may be able to recognize all the little voices that make up the sound of the waterfall. He does this so that like him, we too can join in and become a part of nature's song.

Pahaadon Se Baatein

Nadiyaan
Kedarnath Singh’s poem ‘Nadiyaan’ flows much like a river. It shows us many landscapes, takes many a surprising turn, and when finally we look at our reflection in its clear waters, we are able to recognize ourselves as the long forgotten relative of a river.

Ped Jo Humaare Padosi Hain
