About Kidacity- Learn. Take Action

Welcome to Kidacity where kids learn, share, and grow together! Season 12 of the podcast takes a deeper look at how India and the world really work. After discovering that I, myself did not know much about my own country, I decided to launch this brand new season! Through powerful stories, expert conversations, and clear explanations, we explore the forces that shape our lives — from politics and economics to culture, technology, history, and national identity. Instead of simply reacting to headlines, this season focuses on understanding the people, systems, and decisions behind them. Designed for curious young minds, it encourages us to think critically, ask better questions, and see both India and the wider world with greater clarity, context, and confidence. A little bit about me: I'm an 14 year old from Bengaluru, India and a student of Grade 8 in The International School Bengaluru. I love learning! I love to learn and practice languages, play with my dog, explore topics that interest me, watch Formula 1, play Basketball, play the violin, and, write! I have authored 2 books, with a 3rd on the way! I will be grateful if you encourage me by listening to my podcast, reading my books and sharing your feedback with me. Episode 159 - BONUS FULL INTERVIEW ( Inside the Exam Machine + Soweto Protests ) With Mr. Simmy Ziv-El

You've taken hundreds of test questions in your life. Every single one of them was written by someone, checked for fairness by someone, and eventually scored by some system — and almost nobody ever explains how any of that actually happens. Today, I sit down with someone who's been inside that machine for over 30 years. Mr. Simmy Ziv-El built one of the very first classroom tests that could grade itself, back in 1991 — decades before anyone imagined a computer could read an essay. He went on ...

Episode 158 - Inside The Exam Machine - The Man Behind Your Test Scores, from India to South Africa - Mr. Simmy Ziv-El!

Every test you've ever taken, from a school quiz to a big standardized exam, was designed by someone, scored by some system, and judged "fair" by rules most people never see. Today's guest has spent over 30 years inside that machine: he built one of the very first classroom tests that could grade itself back in 1991, worked inside major exam organizations like ETS and ACT, helped score a worldwide test of creative thinking, and, years before most people had heard of AI chatbots - started bu...

Episode 157 - 700 Year Old Wheels That Tell Time - How did They Build That?

There's a temple in Odisha, built 700 years ago to look like a massive stone chariot carrying the Sun god across the sky — and its 24 carved stone wheels aren't just decoration. Each one has 16 spokes positioned so precisely that the shadows they cast actually tell you the time of day, accurate to this day, with no batteries, no gears, nothing electronic at all. Today on Kidacity, I'm kicking off a brand new series — "How Did They Build THAT?" — exploring real Indian structures built centurie...
