Topics may include, but are not limited to; coffee, faith, creativity, friendship, travel, singleness, navigating (or attempting to navigate) the chaos of our twenties; and bringing it all back (as best we can) to the truth, the Word of God.
We are not tech wizards, so this will be a work in progress. But you’ve got to start somewhere right? Please bear with us as we find our feet and feel free to laugh with us when we stumble, because we most certainly will.

‘Tis the Season… For a Meltdown
This episode was recorded off the back of the festive season, New Year’s Day to be exact. We thought we’d share some journal entries and stories from the past couple weeks, and just debrief on it all, while the feelings were still fresh in our minds. All That Glitters : Idols of the Heart
Hello, welcome back to Kindred! We asked a friend for a prompt for today’s conversation and were given the meaty topic of idols. We all have them, whether we are aware of them or not. They creep into our hearts, often as innocent desires, but quietly and before we know it, they have taken the throne as idols. In this conversation we discuss what it looks like to first identify when a desire has become an idol and then to dethrone that idol, putting it back in its rightful place at the feet of Jesus. We get honest about some of our own struggles and lessons learnt in this area; most importantly that freedom is found in constant surrender and that nothing can satisfy us like Jesus can.

What am I Worth?
Hello, welcome to Kindred! We are back after a little break and today we are talking about validation. It’s so easy to fall into the lie that we are validated by the things we have and the things we do. We get honest about the warped perceptions we have held, the lies we have told ourselves and of course, the truth of the matter; that we are worthy because our Heavenly Father has called us worthy and nothing we do or don’t do can change that. It’s a journey and we don’t always get it right but it’s encouraging to look back and see the progress; however incremental it may be; from false beliefs into the freedom of what he says about us.
