Can joy survive in our closest relationships? In part 4 of our series, Journey of Joy & Contentment, we look at “Joy in the Gospel” from Philippians 2:1-11, where Paul calls the church to complete his joy by living in unity with one another. Relationships have the power to bring us great joy, and the same power to leave us with scars. This message looks at what Paul desires for the church, what disrupts our unity, and the doctrine that makes true unity possible. We see how selfish ambition and the “my way or the highway” mindset rob us of joy, and why humility is not about thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less. We also hear how this call is not a license for abuse or mistreatment, but a willing choice to lay down our own interests for the good of others. At the heart of it all is the beautiful hymn of Philippians 2:6-11, which points us to Jesus, who set aside His glory to rescue us from the pit and was then highly exalted by the Father. Because He met us in the depths, we can go low to love one another and rise together in Him. If you have been hurt in relationships, or struggle to let go of having it your own way, come and listen. There is healing, humility, and joy waiting for you in Christ.

Joy in Gospel Living
Do you ever feel stuck in a season of waiting? In part 3 of our series, Journey of Joy & Contentment, we look at “Joy in Gospel Living” from Philippians 1:19 to 30, where Paul sits in chains awaiting trial and still chooses to rejoice. How do we make the most of the in between? Using the picture of a scuba diver who must pause at decompression stops on the way to the surface, this message shows how God is at work in our waiting. We see three ways Christian waiting turns out for our deliverance: simplification, as we climb to higher ground and see that whether we live or die, Christ is honored; clarification, as we discover that joy comes from putting Jesus first, others second, and ourselves last; and unification, as we stop suffering in silence and let the people of God walk alongside us. Whether you are between jobs, facing a hard diagnosis, or longing to move on to the next thing, come and hear why your waiting does not have to be wasted. There is a secure identity, a clear purpose, and a joy that does not depend on how your circumstances turn out. Join us as we learn to rejoice while we wait.

Joy in Gospel Advancement
Has your life gone according to plan? Most of us would say not quite. In part 2 of our series, Journey of Joy & Contentment, we look at Philippians 1:12-18, where Paul writes from prison and is still bursting with joy. How does someone in chains say that his circumstances have actually advanced the gospel? This message explores what it looks like when life gets punched in the mouth, and how a derailed plan can become the very grace that redirects us toward Jesus. We see how Paul's chains became a platform for witnessing, how his boldness inspired others to speak without fear, and how the gospel frees us from the comparison trap that steals our joy. Along the way, we ask the question that matters most: who is your life really centered on? If you have taken some hits, or find yourself comparing your story to everyone else's, come and listen. There is freedom, reconciliation, and joy waiting for you in Christ. Join us as we take our broken stories and ruined plans to Jesus and see the beauty of where our story is going.
