KLTC is a discipleship training center based at Life Church GTR in Columbus, MS. The heart of our school is to learn together how to live a life under the rule and reign of God; and to receive the grace to live possessed by the love of God in Christ.
This week we review the previous week's teachings on conscience through diving into Hebrews 9. Truly God has entered into the "tabernacle" of human nature--in the flesh and blood of Christ--and cleansed mankind's conscience. We must relate to God through the identity of Christ, pure and undefiled (Hebrews 7:25, Colossians 1:21-23).
The gospel is the news of Christ's victory over our sins, our sinfulness, and Satan's dominion over us. The grace of God comes to us in the preaching of the gospel, and when we will believe it, Christ's work takes root in us! After having received the revelation of the depths of God's love for us in the cross of Christ we are now freed to "make every effort" (2 Peter 1:5-9) and cooperate with grace and walk in the light of God's truth and freedom.
May this bring a reminder to you to unceasingly remember the power of Christ's cross, and His gospel.

Simple Gospel -- Week 4
This week we start in 1 Timothy 1:5 and Titus 1-3 as we discuss the way that the simplicity of the gospel in Christ Jesus cleanses our conscience "from dead works" (Hebrews 9:14) and gives us His righteousness before the Father as a free gift. We must learn to allow Christ's Word to cleanse our conscience towards God and our neighbors. If we do not learn to "clothe ourselves in Christ" (Ephesians 4), and find our life in Him (Colossians 3), then we will constantly frustrate God's grace at work in our lives by trying to earn what Christ has already given for free. Scripture says "Woe to them that call evil 'good'" and this is true, but it also says "woe to them that call good 'evil'". We must learn to receive God's grace with a clean conscience, washed by the 'water of the Word' (Ephesians 5) and in 'washing of [baptsimal] regeneration' (Titus 3), so that we no longer call evil what God has called "good/beloved/righteous". As God says to the Apostle Peter "do not call what I have cleansed "unclean'", to which the Apostle later said "God has shown me that I should call NO MAN unclean" (Acts 10).
We end our discussion on the conscience by talking about righteousness; and our need, not to have a will that is like God's but to have God's very own will through union with Him by faith. We need not try to purify our will, and to by our willpower do God's will. Rather, we are to "deny our self" with our will, and allow God to will for us. As He promises in Philippians 2, that "God is at work in [us] both to WILL and to DO of His good pleasure".
Hope you enjoy the gospel! And, tune in next week for a deeper dive into hebrews and romans as we talk about "righteousness"!

Simple Gospel -- Week 3
The first two weeks of our Simple Gospel class were plagued by sound issues; we open up, however, this weeks episode with a little review. So, hopefully anyone can join in and track along with us!
Forgive us for the audio quality, we are working on the audio capture, microphones and sound systems!
This week we began diving into scriptures from the epistles of Paul to help us flesh out, and simplify ourselves by faith in Christ's gospel. Enjoy, and be transformed!
