If you’re hungry for more than a Sunday routine, you’re in the right place.
Awake Nations with Glenn Bleakney is a space for honest conversations and biblical teaching about following Jesus in real life. We talk about the questions people are actually asking: How do you know God? What does it mean to hear His voice, find your people, and make a difference where you live?
Expect conversations about Jesus, the Kingdom of God, the Holy Spirit, authentic community, and faith that moves beyond words. Come curious. Bring your questions. Let’s grow into the people Jesus calls us to be.
In Day 2 of our Breakthrough: Possessing the Promise challenge, we explored how to navigate the difficult space between what was and what will be—a season of transition I call the hallway. When doors close, relationships change, or life takes an unexpected turn, we must learn to grieve honestly, honor what God has done, and release what we cannot carry into the next season.
Drawing from the lives of Joseph, Ruth, and Naomi, we discovered that God does not have to author our pain to redeem it for His purposes. Through Romans 8:28–29, we also learned that God’s work in difficult seasons is not simply about changing our circumstances but transforming us into the likeness of Jesus and preparing us for what lies ahead.
We addressed three common obstacles that keep people stuck: false guilt, false loyalty, and false identity. We also explored how to honor a season without remaining trapped in it, recognizing that an ending does not necessarily mean failure.
Participants were encouraged to complete the Release Inventory in their workbooks, identifying what ended, what still hurts, what needs to be released, and what remains in their hands to steward faithfully.
Key takeaway: Your past matters, but your past does not own your future. You can acknowledge what was lost without allowing it to determine what comes next. Grieve honestly, release wisely, and trust that God is still at work, preparing you for His purposes.
