Most people think of recruiter InMails as spam, but not me. I see opportunity in every one. If you're not actively engaging with recruiters, you're missing out on a chance to get crucial information about the job market, so don't leave that on the table. Ask these questions and start figuring out what you *should* be getting.

The best Incident Commanders might not be where you think
The Incident Commander is a powerful role in the world of Incident Management that is traditionally filled by senior engineers and engineering managers. But have you ever considered that maybe you should be casting your net a bit wider when it comes to staffing that role?

Flexibility shouldn't mean always-on
A strict Monday to Friday, nine to five schedule is no longer the norm for many people who work in software, but you need to be sure that 'choosing when you work' doesn't make you always available to work.

Introducing Klokta
I've always had a bit of an on and off relationship with podcasts. They're the classic ‘commute to work’ medium and you can see why, especially in the days of the iPod. Load up your device in the morning while you have breakfast, then stick in your headphones and catch up on whatever takes your fancy.

So without further ado, here’s my predictions.
