This is Known in New York: A podcast where we cut through the rind of the Big Apple to look at the true soul of this city - It's people.
A show, built on connection & where we explore ways to find peace in the city that never sleeps.
Where we peek past the grind and hustle to slow down and reconnect with what uniquely matters most to each of us and the challenges we experience as we evolve in the greatest city on Earth.
In this ever-changing city, we must remember to focus on the constants - our need to connect, our need to find and accept ourselves, and our need to love, and be loved.
Join me in this revelation of honesty. A journey where we discover through passionate, soulful connection just how bright our inner light shines when we choose to embrace ourselves for all that we are and forgive ourselves for everything we are not or have yet to become in this exciting city we call home.

Come As You Are with Molly Meeker
I think New York City is a place for change and growth if you let it. And I think if you resist that, that’s when you have a hard time being in this city because it will challenge you, and it’s kind of a bully, sometimes. I’ve had some of the worst days of my life in this city, and I’ve had some of the best days of my life in this city. And it’s that balance between the two, those two extremes, that you land somewhere in the middle, and you realize that there’s no place like it in the entire world.
It seems like everywhere we look these days we have corporations telling us to bring our “best selves” to work, that they want us to come as we are. A fantastic message… if it were true! In reality, it’s a delicate balance to maintain between our real selves and the person that the corporate world wants us to be.
Today, I welcome my friend Molly Meeker, a New York transplant originally from Austin, Texas. Molly has taken the city by storm as she focuses on creating the most thoughtful, inclusive spaces for others to exist—in and out of Corporate America.
Tune in to episode three of Known in New York to hear what Molly has to say about what she’d like to be known for and how she learned to grow and stop compartmentalizing her emotions.
In This Episode, You’ll Learn:
Success in Corporate America doesn’t have to equal a cold personality (4:52)
You receive the love you think you deserve (19:57)
A little about Molly’s 2022 globetrotting (26:43)
In New York, your bad days are bad, but your best days are euphoric (38:00)
We're not really strangers (40:20)
Love Letter (50:50)

Finding Your New York Groove with Alyssa Virgilio
“If you don't have confidence in yourself, and if you aren't strong-willed and know your place and your reason of why you're here, people are gonna stomp all over you—And that's not just related to how fast people walk here! But people are here with a purpose. And I think if you're going to live here, you have to have a strong understanding of what your purpose is.”
