Kokan on saddle - l
लॉकडाउनने आपल्या सगळ्यांनाच घरी राहण्यास भाग पडले होते पण आपल्यातल्या काही जणांनी शक्कल लढवली व सायकल घेऊन बाहेर पडू लागले. बघता बघता आज शहरांमध्ये हजारो नवीन सायकलस्वार तयार झाले आहेत.
आपल्या बालपणीचा एक महत्त्वाचा भाग असलेल्या सायकलने आपल्या आयुष्यातील गमावलेली जागा परत मिळवली, त्याबद्दल लॉकडाउनचे धन्यवाद मानले पाहिजेत खरे. तसा मी मागच्या 5 वर्षांपासून दररोज प्रवास करण्यासाठी माझी सायकल वापरत आहे. आत्तापर्यंत भरपूर सायकलस्वार भेटले. जरी आम्ही नेहमी सोबत सायकल चालवत नसलो, तरीही आम्ही नवीन सायकल सफरींची चर्चा करण्यासाठी संपर्कात असतो. माझ्या एका सायकलस्वार मित्राने कोकणात सायकल सवारी करून माझ्याबरोबर अनुभव शेअर केला होता. त्याच्या अनुभवातून मला पण कोकणामध्ये सायकल चालवायचे वेध लागले होते. हा योग २०१९ मध्ये जुळून आला. माझे दोन मित्र, मंदार कुलकर्णी, अप्पा देसाई व मी असे आम्ही तिघे माणगाव ते गणपतीपुळे सायकलवर फिरायला गेलो. एकूण ५ दिवसांमध्ये वेगवेगळी ठिकाणे पाहत २६५ किमी अंतर पार पडले. याच सायकल सफरीचा हा पॉडकास्ट. चला तर मग... ह्याच सुंदर प्रवासाचे किस्से एकूयात.. A book review of ' Pawana Kathcha Dhondi' By G. N. Dandekar.
Words won't be enough to describe G. N. Dandekar i.e. Appa. I personally feel that, no one could beat Appa.. the way he has explored Sahyadri, People, Culture and putting it all into his lively writings. Appa was one of the few all-round personalities of Maharashtra. The simplicity and eloquence of his writing keeps the reader hooked even today. That is why I have reviewed one of his many famous novels, 'Pavana Kathcha Dhondi' in this episode. This is my small attempt to bring this book to you.
