Kultur-Talk: Das 78. Filmfestival von Locarno im Rückblick
Im Vorfeld gab’s Streit um das Gerüst hinter der Leinwand auf der Piazza Grande – aber während des Festivals ist vor allem das im Fokus, was drauf projiziert wird: Film. Zum 78. Mal findet das «kleinste der grossen Filmfestivals» am Lago Maggiore statt. Wo ist der Platz des Kinos, wenn die Flut der Bilder nicht abreisst? Eine Frage, die der künstlerische Leiter Giona A. Nazzaro dem diesjährigen Festival voranstellte. Welche Antwort geben die Filme im internationalen Wettbewerb? Viel mehr Publikum und Aufmerksamkeit als der Wettbewerb zieht in Locarno allerdings das Programm auf der Piazza Grande an. Ein Spagat, den das Festival Locarno seit jeher macht.
