What We Learned About AI in Real Estate: Season 2 Recap
In this final episode of Season 2, Martin Dell (co-founder of Kyero.com) and real estate marketing consultant Alfredo Bloy-Dawson look back across the full season to pull out the most important lessons, themes, and practical advice for estate agents in Spain working with international buyers. The season explored how AI is changing real estate, from automating lead qualification and admin processes, to the leadership challenges of getting teams on board. Across seven episodes, guests consistently returned to the same core conclusions: AI is not optional, processes must exist before they can be automated, and the human element remains central to selling property. In this recap, Martin and Alfredo revisit the season's three founding assumptions, discuss the key ideas that surfaced repeatedly across guests, and close with 10 practical takeaways for estate agents looking to understand where AI fits in their business. Topics covered: 🔸 The three assumptions that held up across the season 🔸 What AI agents actually are (and are not) 🔸 The "Reverse Centaur" framework: who is in control? 🔸 Automation blindness and the risks of going on autopilot 🔸 Whether AI saves money or requires investment 🔸 The difference between what brokers want and what admin teams fear 🔸 10 practical takeaways for estate agents on AI adoption 10 Pieces of Advice for Estate Agents on How to Approach AI Be open-minded and AI-curious. Stay informed by listening to podcasts like this one, exploring new ideas, and encouraging input from your team. You don't have to be an early adopter. It's fine to let others test the latest tools first. Focus on adopting AI when it offers genuine value to your business. Be specific when talking about AI. "AI" is an incredibly broad term. Define exactly which tools, use cases, or processes you're referring to. It's okay to outsource AI expertise. You don't need to become an AI specialist yourself. Bring in external expertise where it makes sense. Address the "What's in it for me?" question. If you want your team to embrace AI, explain how it will make their jobs easier, more productive, or more rewarding. Tackle the elephant in the room. Many people associate greater efficiency with job cuts, particularly in administrative roles. Address these concerns openly rather than ignoring them. Get genuine buy-in from your team. Successful AI adoption is as much about people as technology. Involve your team in the process and encourage ownership. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Avoid "shiny app syndrome." Adopt AI tools because they solve real business problems, not simply because they're new. Encourage experimentation—with guardrails. Give people permission to explore AI, but establish clear guidelines around security, privacy, and appropriate use. Accept that AI is still evolving. It's a fast-moving field with plenty of hype and conflicting opinions. Stay curious, keep learning, and don't feel pressured to chase every new development. If you missed any of the previous seven episodes, find them on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or YouTube. Season 3 is coming soon. Leave your suggestions in the comments. How to Lead Through AI: Change Management for Estate Agents
In this episode of the Kyero Pro Podcast, Martin Dell and Alfredo Bloy-Dawson are joined by Sharon Collier, founder of The Leadership School and a specialist in change management, to discuss what AI adoption actually looks like from a human and organisational perspective. This is the penultimate episode of Series 2, in which the podcast has explored AI and its implications for estate agents operating in Spain.Sharon introduces the concept of AI as a "wicked issue" - a problem so complex and multifaceted that it cannot be solved with a single plan or vision - and explains why that reframing is both accurate and liberating for business owners. The conversation covers how leaders can acknowledge resistance within their teams, what it means to truly empower people, how to create structured space for experimentation, and the three red flags that signal a leader is approaching AI adoption the wrong way.Sharon also introduces William Bridges' Transitions Framework to help explain why the messy middle - the period between letting go of old ways and arriving at something new - is the most important and most overlooked stage of any change process.
