Organisational practices and the embodied experiences of work in later life - Jakov Jandric

Jakov Jandric is Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour at the University of Edinburgh Business School.

Jakov’s research focuses on the interplay between institutions, organisations and individuals in the workplace.

Jakov story outlines some of the complex challenges bus and tram drivers face as they age. For companies, age is not necessarily an issue when recruiting drivers. However, organisational practices can lead to a more challenging work context for ageing bodies, which might more likely require a workplace adjustment. While transport companies aim to treat everyone equally regardless of age, this is not necessarily a suitable approach to supporting older workers’ health and wellbeing.
-

Production : Samantha Saez, Catiia Luperto, LIVES Center
Recording & post-production : Romain Sandoz, Media Engineering Institute
