Lærdómsritin: Pyrrhos og Kíneas
<p>Jón Ólafsson ræðir við Móheiði Hlíf Geirlaugsdóttur um þýðingu hennar á ritinu Pyrrhos og Kíneas (Pyrrhus et Cinéas) eftir franska rithöfundinn og heimspekinginn Simone de Beauvoir. Bókin kom upphaflega út í París árið 1944 – skrifuð í hernumdu landi á tímum heimstyrjaldar. Íslenska þýðingin kom út árið 2018.</p> <p>Pyrrhos og Kíneas er fyrsta heimspekirit Beauvoir og í því má sjá mörg þeirra grunnstefja sem einkenna síðari verk hennar sem betur eru þekkt, svo sem Siðfræði tvíræðninnar (Pour une morale de l'ambiguïté, 1947) og Hitt kynið (Le Deuxième Sexe, 1949). Það er því að mörgu leyti aðgengilegur inngangur að heimspekilegum verkum hennar en um leið sjálfstæð umfjöllun um nokkur grunnstef vestrænnar hugsunar og tilveru.</p>

<p>Jón Ólafsson ræðir við Sigríði Þorgeirsdóttur prófessor í heimspeki og Guðmund Björn Þorbjörnsson dagskrárgerðarmann og doktorsnema í heimspeki um Lærdómsritið Endurtekninguna eftir danska heimspekinginn Søren Kierkegaard sem birtist í ritröðinni árið 2000. Áður hafði Endurtekningin komið út á vegum Helgafells, árið 1966. Þorsteinn Gylfason þýddi verkið og ritaði inngang bæði 1966 og 2000.</p> <p>Endurtekningin er einstakt verk að flestu leyti – eitt lykilverka Kierkegaards en þó ólíkt öðru sem frá honum kom. Áhrif þess hafa verið samfelld og langvarandi frá upphaflegri útgáfu þess í Kaupmannahöfn árið 1843. Kierkegaard þræðir krákustíga tilvistarlegra spurninga um tengsl okkar við sjálf okkur – um val og athafnir, ósvikna reynslu og ákvarðanir. Endurtekningunni er stillt upp á móti endurminningunni – tilrauninni til að endurvekja draum, frekar en að takast á við lífið.</p>
