Not much to say on this one, just a bit of status update and rambling.

Walk 015: Evening Stroll
A short evening stroll. We are still trying to get into the rhythm of the new school year and a brief lightning storm got in the way of getting out this morning.

Walk 014: Foggy Monday
The Friday walk didn't happen for reasons, so this morning I rambled about back to school time as well as my recent and planned media consumption.
Jurassic World: Dominion (Extended Edition) - worth a watch, but not exactly a repeated watch.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law - This show is off to an excellent start, can't wait to see where it goes.

Walk 013: Midweek Musing
Had some time to kill while waiting for the middle girl's HS to open up for back to school check-in.
So I took a walk in the neighborhood to take advantage of the cool morning air out in the country.

Walk 012: New Year, New Season?
Once again after a long absence I'm back and going to give this a go again.
I rambled mostly about various media I've watched in the last few months.
Due to it being a while since I've done this there are some technical issues (including a break about 2/3 in due to my turn around alarm going off), I think I'm clearly audible over the background noise of the road most of the time.

Walk 011: Theater Geeking and Other Things
Monday October 18th, 2021 :: 7:06am :: 46f and sunny
So life has kept me from getting a walk and talk recorded for a bit, but I'm keeping at it.
Today I rambled about IASTE, films, Sci-Fi television and The Band's Visit
Today's Recommendations:
The Band's Visit (https://thebandsvisitmusical.com/) (if you can't catch it on stage, check out the original cast album)
Free Guy (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6264654/)

Walk 010: Back to it. Rambling all the way.
Monday October 4th, 2021 :: 7:04am :: 50f and sunny
After almost a year of not doing a talk with my walk (tried a few times but...), I'm going to attempt to get back to it.
Over the past year a lot of things have changed, I touch on a few of them as I traveled.
Recomendations for today:
The Wizzard's Buttler (https://www.amazon.com/Wizards-Butler-Nathan-Lowell-ebook/dp/B0865326GF/) by Nathan Lowell
Salt (https://www.amazon.com/Salt-Barbarians-Book-J-Lowell-ebook/dp/B09C6PZS3J/) by EJ Lowell and Nathan Lowell (I haven't read this one yet but based on word of mouth I think its work a read)
Foundation (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0804484/) on Apple+ (based off the novels by Isaac Asimov)
Marvel's What if...? (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10168312/) on Disney+

After far too long I'm back for a ramble. Today I talked about NaNoWriMo, life in general and the need for more cats in science fiction.

Walk 008: Cold and the Looming NaNo
After far too long I did in fact get out for a walk, then lost the recording. So here is a few minutes of my thoughts on the cold, the next few weeks and NaNoWriMo.

Walk 007: Friday Randomness
Today I was kind of all over the place, it was a nice walk but I didn't really have any coherent themes.

Walk 006: Sunday Superhero Stroll
Today I walked as part of the virtual walk for the Superhero Heart Run. Normally I would be at Racoon River Park jogging in the 5k during the fundraiser. However, with COVID and the extra concerns for the health of that those we would be there to support the organization decided to have everyone do it virtually. This was a good decision for all, as much fun as the run is it just wouldn't be safe.

Walk 005: COVID Concerns Crankiness
Wherein I vent for far too long on how I think things are going, be aware this is pretty much my just venting on the state of the world and Iowa in particular. So you probably don't really need to listen to me shouting into the void.
Only really one thing directly referenced today and that is the excellent number crunching being done over at https://iowacovid19tracker.org/ (https://iowacovid19tracker.org/) where they are trying to keep some accountability and visibility to the numbers coming out from the state as they keep "adjusting" things (as well as using bad math for critical metrics)

Walk 003: Juggling Jobs Judiciously
Two days in a row!
Today I spend some time talking about a good metaphor for how to juggle your work/life balance, and experience some technical issues.

Walk 002: Particulates and Podcasts
Sorry for the break since walk #1, I was out of town and then didn't feel the best yesterday.
Today I rambled for surprisingly long given I didn't have anything specific in mind to speak about at the top of the walk.

Walk 001: Stop Signs and Space Opera
As part of my place of business' latest 30-Day Wellness Challenge I've decided to follow in the virtual footsteps of Nathan Lowell and Dave Robison in doing a riff on "Morning Pages" during my daily walks.
Today I spoke about the inspiration for this podcast as well as some good Sci-Fi and the traffic laws.
