About Larissa's Moonlit Tales

Hello, Dreamer! I'm Larissa and I am a real person, not AI. I know how it feels to be exhausted but unable to sleep because of anxiety. I wrote and recorded these stories to give my listeners something calm to think about. When our brains are engaged with a soothing story, it is easier to relax and fall asleep. I also wanted to remind us, myself included, of the beautiful and good things in life. Almost all of these stories are inspired by my own memories. I tend to write them from a young person's perspective, usually a young teen, as I have so many stories from that period of my life. They are safe for all ages, so you can share them with anyone you like. I have been told that the pace of my episodes makes them useful to those who are learning English.    The Cat and the Lamp

   Good Evening, Dreamer! Tonight's sleepy time tale will take us back to Mrs. Willoughby's Books, Antiques and Sweets store. You'll hear about making the perfect scone, looking for treasures in a shop, and Toby, the cat with a knack for knowing what his customers should buy. I think you'll find this story to be just what you need to help you relax and drift into sweet dreams. My tales come from my own memories or imagination and I record them myself.    Meyer's Mountain

   Good evening, Dreamer! As I write these stories, I love to imagine that I am there, in these peaceful locations, enjoying the beauty of the world. One of my favorite places in the Larissa's Moonlit Tales universe is the little mountain town. We are going to back there tonight, to enjoy autumn in the hills. My stories are designed to help you find restful sleep, either when you first climb into your bed, or if you wake up in the middle of the night. My voice is soothing. My pace is slow.    Kitty is Home Alone

   Kitty has been left, briefly, at home and she has to find ways to entertain herself. We've gone back to visit a recurring character on Larissa's Moonlit Tales. Kitty is based on a real cat, one who came to me as a kitten at a gas station in the middle of the night. She is now a grown up kitty, very happy and sassy. I think you'll enjoy this tale about her, at least until you drift off to slumber. All of my tales are safe for all ages, soothing and slow paced. They are designed to be the perfect thing to help you find sleep quickly, or return to sleep if you tend to wake up in the middle of the night. All you have to do is listen.
