Larry McLaughlin Host/News Sample
This is a recreated version inspired by a CPR news segment featuring Mike Lamp on Monday, March 4. I revised the script, recorded it with my voice, and maintained the original audio clips from the initial broadcast.

Alex Ave
Alex worked as a Ranger at Philmont in the 90's and he was always a good friend to those of us living in the backcountry. So much a friend that I invited him along with some other friends to my brothers house during Spring Break 1999 to record some Philmont songs which became the first Tobasco Donkeys album. Who woulda thunk that this guy who was barefoot on the cover of our CD would go on to work for the US Department of State where he has been a Foreign Service Officer for 17 years? He's done a lot of traveling and I'm sure has a unique view of the world. It will be great to catch up with him

Ali Wick Meeks
Ali worked at Philmont in the 90's, mostly in the conservation dept. The last I talked to her was a few years back when I was making a video for REI about her being a triathlete near her home in rural Alabama where she lives with her husband. At the time she had a career as an environmental scientist but she was interested in changing direction and trying out fitness coaching. Listen in as I ask her how her how that transition went, being a triathlete, working at Philmont and so much more!
