El Rey Peste de Edgar Allan Poe.
<p>«<strong>El rey Peste</strong>» («<strong>King Pest the First, a Tale Containing an Allegory</strong>», en inglés), subtitulado «Relato en el que hay una alegoría», es un cuento del escritor estadounidense Edgar Allan Poe publicado por primera vez en septiembre de 1835 en el periódico Southern Literary Messenger.</p> <h2><strong>Argumento</strong></h2> <p>"Patas" y Hugh Tarpaulin, dos marineros de la embarcación Free and Easy, después de desembarcar en Londres, salen huyendo de una taberna donde han estado bebiendo, por hallarse sin dinero . En su huida se internan en una brumosa y espeluznante zona de la ciudad bajo el dominio de la peste. Finalmente buscan refugio en una funeraria, donde se encuentran con el rey Peste y su estrambótico cortejo. El conflicto está servido.</p> <p>Lectura: Andrea Montoya.</p>

<p>"William Wilson" de Edgar Allan Poe. </p> <p>Relato corto de Edgar Allan Poe, escrito en inglés. Su ambientación está inspirada en los años de formación de Poe fuera de Londres. El cuento sigue el tema del doppelgänger, pero en este caso, el "doble" del protagonista no juega un papel de malvado, sino que siempre aparece cuando el William narrador realiza una acción poco ética o malvada.</p> <p>Se puede apreciar que la fecha de nacimiento de William Wilson y Edgar Allan Poe coinciden, aunque se diferencian en el año.</p> <p>Fue publicado por vez primera por la revista Burton´s Gentleman´s Magazine en octubre de 1839, y más tarde apareció en la colección de 1840, Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque. </p> <p>Narración y comentarios: Wilson Zapata.</p> <p>Bienvenidos!</p> <p><br></p>
